Environmentally Aware
Here at Attic we believe that businesses, as well as individuals, have a major role to play in preserving and maintaining our environment.
So we aim to provide the best quality services to our clients at the fairest prices… but not at any cost.
How will we play our part?
- By ensuring we limit our use of energy as far as possible
- By questioning the need to use appliances and limit our use of energy to times when its use is indispensable
- By sourcing the energy we do use strictly from renewable sources only
- By ensuring all our company vehicles are fuel efficient
- We will, wherever possible, aim to utilise recycled materials
- We will, wherever possible, aim to recycle office waste
- We will encourage our customers and staff to do the same, by providing recycling facilities on site
- On an annual basis, we will calculate our carbon footprint and use a recognised offset scheme to help reduce the impact we have on the environment
Not just more promises...
We have already made the following commitments:
- Our mezzanine decking is sourced exclusively from well managed forests, controlled sources and recycled wood or fiber
- The packaging loosefill (foam peanuts) we sell is entirely biodegradable and made from 95% cornstarch
- Our facility has been fitted with PIR (passive infrared detection) to reduce power consumption so our lights are only on when they need to be
- 100% of our power requirements are sourced from renewable sources
- We sell reusable moving blankets and dust covers
- All our boxes are recyclable
- All our bubble wrap is made from recycled polythene
The environment isn’t just about nature though – and we recognise this by supporting a number of charities including Medecins Sans Frontieres and the British Red Cross, as well as supporting local initiatives wherever possible.
