Perimeter Defence System™

Our external CCTV cameras are remote monitored 24hrs a day, with motion sensors alerting staff of any activity near our premises.  This system is backed up by a NACOSS Gold guaranteed police response alarm system; while our security response team is itself located 3minutes from site.  No security guards dozing by the heater in their cabins!

 

Internal Security

Access to our site is strictly controlled with electronic PIN codes and electric sliding doors, gates and roller shutters.  All our high resolution digital CCTV cameras operate with motion sensing technology, alerting staff of any “motion events” on site.
Our remote monitoring team is then able to reconcile these “motion events” out of hours to customer log-on activity thanks to our electronic access control systems, all the while observing what’s happening on site.

 

Final Layer

Each individual unit is locked by the customer with their own padlock, and only they hold the key.  Each individual unit is also alarmed, and any attempt to open a unit without first successfully logging in to our access control system will trigger the alarm.

We can’t simply rely on technology however, and we have designed our site to offer optimal security while training our staff to be vigilant, adhering to the following:

• Strict “know your customer” checks with proof of address and photo ID required.  Payments must also be made by credit or debit card, or by direct debit – we won’t accept cash for ongoing storage charges
• Good, old fashioned observation; we keep an eye on what customers bring in to store, while requiring  them to declare contents in their licence agreement.  We reserve the right to refuse our services to anyone who doesn’t adhere to our standard security terms
• Large, flood-lit loading and parking areas with no dark or hidden corners
• Wide, well-lit corridors
